CENTRAL FLORIDA — It was an active start to the weekend, but drier conditions are ahead for Sunday.
Scattered showers and storms will slowly fade away this evening, with quiet conditions expected overnight. Morning lows will be in the mid 70s.
The tropical wave will lift northward on Sunday, allowing drier air to return. We’ll see lower coverage of rain and storms across the region, with temps in the low 90s.
Even more dry air marches in for the First Day of School for many. Monday will feature widely scattered PM storms, and Tuesday, just isolated PM showers are anticipated. Temps will be in the low- to mid-90s.
The dry air will remain in place for much of next week, but that will allow temperatures to warm. Just a stray shower is anticipated on Wednesday and Thursday, with highs pushing into the mid-90s.
More warmth is likely for Friday and next weekend, with below-average chances of rain.
