APOPKA, Fla. — Authorities are searching for the driver of a car that hit a 16-year-old girl who had been ejected from her SUV after a crash in Apopka late Sunday night.
Jasmine Tena was killed and two 19-year-olds were injured in the crash on State Road 429 at the 414 Interchange, police said.
Tena's Facebook page is a collection of smiling selfies, and now, condolences.
"My first reaction was, 'No,' and, it still doesn't seem real, and when I look at her pictures, it shouldn't have happened. She was only 16 years old. She had her whole life ahead of her," said Tena's family friend Christy Werkeiser.
Werkeiser launched a GoFundMe account to help Tena's mother, who raised her alone.
Police said the Ford Expedition the three were riding in left the roadway and rolled over several times, ejecting Tena.
Tena died at the scene, police said.
The driver, Teodora Llanas, Jr., 19, and passenger, Demetrio Rangel, 19, both of Apopka, were transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center.

Llanas was treated and released. Rangel remains in critical, but stable condition.
Police said after Tena was ejected from the SUV, she was hit by a vehicle that left the scene.
Investigators said that based on the damage left behind, even if the driver didn't know it hit a person, they should have known they hit something.
Traffic homicide investigators are working to identify the unknown vehicle.
"How can you not know you hit something, and then you see this on the news? How can you not know?" said Werkeiser.
Family members online said the tire on the Ford Expedition blew out, but police have not confirmed that.
"Our daughter loves her and I still have to figure out how to tell a 3-year-old that she's gone," said Werkeiser.
Apopka police said they do not know if Tena was wearing a seatbelt or whether alcohol was involved.
"It's part of the investigation, and we don't know what the other driver perceived or knows what happened, so, that's why we're asking them to come forward to help figure out what happened in this crash," said Sgt. Kim Walsh of the Apopka Police Department.
The medical examiner is working to figure out whether Tena died from the crash or from the impact of the other car.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Apopka Police Department at 407-703-1771or Crimeine at 407-423-TIPS.
