An early morning rocket launch creates a spectacular “jellyfish” cloud when its exhaust spreads high in the atmosphere.
The rocket’s hot gases and water vapor expand and freeze into tiny ice crystals.
As the rising Sun illuminates the cloud from below the horizon, it glows against the dark sky, creating the appearance of a giant, shimmering “jellyfish.”
After the launch, people around Central Florida snap photos and videos of the aerial phenomenon.
