Fatal crash closes lanes of I-95 south in Melbourne

MELBOURNE, Fla. — A fatal crash has shut down multiple lanes on Interstate 95 southbound in Melbourne.

The crash happened Monday morning about 10 a.m. near US-192.

Authorities said a dump truck was broken down on the shoulder of I-95 when a minivan veered off the interstate and crashed into it.

The driver of the minivan was killed, but authorities have not released the victim's name.

There's no word on what caused the driver to veer off the road.
