A 25-year-old man died on Tuesday after a multi-vehicle crash on I-75

TAMPA, Fla. — A 25-year-old man from Tampa died on Tuesday after a multi-vehicle crash on I-75. He was ejected from his pickup truck during a rollover and was hit by a tractor-trailer in the highway’s center lanes.

The crash took place in the northbound lanes and involved a Dodge 1500, a Chevy box truck, and a tractor-trailer.

Authorities confirmed that the Dodge driver sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The sequence started when a Dodge 1500 was heading north in the outer lane of the interstate. It overtook and then collided with the back of a Chevy box truck driven by a 35-year-old man from Valrico.

The Dodge overturned multiple times while the box truck stopped along the highway shoulder.
