WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. — A Winter Springs man is dead after a car he was traveling in crashed into a tree, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Jakin Foster, 22, died after the driver of a 2003 Ford Mustang he was riding in lost control and swerved into the median on East Lake Drive, slamming into a tree, troopers said.
Troopers said Geoffrey Gaudoin, 22 of Orlando, was driving the Mustang at a high rate of speed.

Gauodin and Foster were transported to South Seminole Hospital, where Foster died.
Both men were wearing seatbelts, troopers said.

Charges are pending against the driver, according to the crash report.
