ORLANDO, Fla. — Three apartments caught fire Saturday morning at an apartment complex in the Mercy Drive area, the Orlando Fire Department said.
The blaze ignited shortly before 9 a.m. at the Palm Grove Gardens apartments on WD Judge Drive east of Mercy Drive, District Chief Matthew Negedly said.

“We have treated one person for smoke inhalation and minor injuries not requiring transport to the hospital,” Negedly said. “Smoke and water damage did affect many other units than the three affected by fire.”
It took nearly 40 firefighters more than 20 minutes to extinguish the fire, the cause of which continues to be investigated.
It’s unknown how many people were displaced by the fire. %
