NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. — Firefighters responded to a fire that broke out Sunday night at a large two-story residence on North Atlantic Avenue in New Smyrna Beach.
The New Smyrna Beach Fire Department responded around 9:16 p.m. after receiving reports of a structure fire.
Crews arrived to find heavy flames coming through the roof of the home.
Firefighters immediately conducted a search of the residence while working to bring the fire under control.
Crews were able to prevent the flames from spreading to nearby structures, with the fire primarily contained to the home’s upper floor.
No injuries were reported.
