PALM COAST, Fla. — The City of Palm Coast is betting residents will move more if it’s easier and cheaper to try different workouts.
Starting Wednesday, the city launched the Fitness Flex Pass, an eight-class punch card priced at $50 that unlocks adult fitness and dance programs at both the Palm Coast Community Center and the Southern Recreation Center.
That brings the per-class cost down to $6.25, undercutting the standard $8–$10 drop-in rate for single sessions, which remain available for people who want to sample a class before committing.
What’s included
The pass covers a rotating slate of adult offerings at both facilities. Shared classes at both centers include:
Zumba
Zumba Gold
Yoga for All
The Palm Coast Community Center (305 Palm Coast Pkwy NE) hosts several exclusives:
Zumba Gold-Toning
Beginner and intermediate Tai Chi
Gentle Yoga
Line Dancing
Belly Dancing is offered only at the Southern Recreation Center (1290 Belle Terre Pkwy).
“Fitness looks different for everyone,” said James Hirst, the city’s Parks & Recreation director. “The Fitness Flex Pass gives residents the opportunity to try different classes, discover what they enjoy and find something that works for their schedule and their goals.”
How to buy in
Residents can purchase the Flex Pass in person at either recreation center. Full class schedules and listings are posted on the city’s parks and recreation website.
