PALM COAST, Fla. — Several Palm Coast roads will be temporarily closed beginning Monday for underground stormwater repairs and roadway maintenance, city officials said.
The closures will affect portions of Edgewater Drive, Wheeling Lane and the Westmar Place cul-de-sac. Traffic-control devices and detour signs will be in place, and local residents will continue to have access to their homes.
Edgewater Drive
Edgewater Drive will be closed near 25 Edgewater Drive from Aug. 31 through Sept. 4. The closure is scheduled daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tentative overnight closures also may be needed Sept. 1-3.
American Civil, a city subcontractor, will complete the stormwater repairs. Drivers will be detoured around the work zone using Edgemont Lane and Edgely Lane.
Motorists should also expect possible partial closures and roadside hazards at:
22 Edgely Lane.
8 Edgemont Lane.
Those impacts are expected from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 31 through Sept. 4, while crews repair and replace roadway surfaces over previously installed stormwater pipes. A clear route will be maintained between the adjacent work areas.
Wheeling Lane
Wheeling Lane will be closed near 2 Wheeling Lane from Sept. 1 through Sept. 3. The closure will be in effect daily from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Drivers will be detoured using Wheatfield Lane and Wheeldon Lane.
The work was delayed from its original schedule to allow for an additional engineering design review.
Westmar Place
The Westmar Place cul-de-sac will have temporary weekday closures from Sept. 1 through Sept. 18. Work is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The closure will not be in effect on weekends or Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of Labor Day.
Cline, another city subcontractor, will perform the underground stormwater work. Entry and exit from the cul-de-sac will be restricted during construction hours, but residents will maintain access to their homes throughout the project.
Drivers should use caution near each work zone and follow posted detours and directions from traffic-control personnel.
