MIAMI, Fla. — A security guard at a Florida immigration detention center is accused of stealing more than $5,000 from a detainee, according to investigators.
The alleged theft happened in Miami.
Investigators say surveillance video captured Matthew Torres taking the money and placing it inside his jacket.
Torres was arrested Monday and now faces a felony charge of grand theft.
The investigation remains ongoing.
