ORLANDO, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health reported 5,244 new COVID-19 cases in the state on Saturday.
Of the new cases reported, 1,048 were in Central Florida. Orange County added the most cases with 309.

The state also reported 25,286 more negative test results on Saturday, bringing the total number of negative COVID-19 test results to 9,470,178.
Records show 1,973,109 COVID-19 cases have been recorded in Florida since the start of the pandemic.
State health officials also added 85 new COVID-19-related deaths on Saturday, including five people who were not Florida residents.

Of the new deaths reported, 17 were in Central Florida. Officials reported eight new deaths in Brevard County since Friday.
Records show 32,829 people have died from COVID-19 in Florida since the start of the pandemic.

Records show 6,182,940 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the state. 4,031,776 people have received either one or two doses of COVID-19 vaccine in Florida.
