ORLANDO, Fla. — More money will soon be hitting the pockets of Florida’s minimum-wage workers.
Florida’s minimum wage will increase to $15 an hour Wednesday, marking the final scheduled increase approved by voters through a constitutional amendment in 2020.
The amendment called for the state’s minimum wage to increase by $1 each year until reaching $15 an hour in 2026.
The latest increase also applies to tipped workers. Their minimum direct wage, or base wage, will rise by $1 to $11.98 an hour.
