Former Disney World president announces retirement from company

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Meg Crofton, Disney's president of operations for parks and resorts in the United States and France, has announced her retirement.
 
Crofton, former president of Disney World, said she will retire June 1, 2015.
 
Crofton has been with Disney for 35 years and said in a press release she wanted to retire "while I still had plenty of juice left for the next chapter in my life."
 
Officials said her successor will be named at a later date.
