ORLANDO, Fla. — Central Florida is in for a familiar weather pattern over the next couple of days, with scattered showers and thunderstorms expected across the interior during the afternoon and evening.
Temperatures will climb into the mid to upper 80s each afternoon, with storms developing as the heat and humidity build.
The pattern is expected to repeat through the middle of the week.
However, a noticeable change could arrive by the end of the week.
Forecasters are watching the season’s first fall front, which is expected to move through Central Florida and bring a shift toward drier, more comfortable weather.
Rain chances should drop behind the front, while temperatures take a modest dip.
Many locations across Central Florida could wake up to temperatures in the 60s over the weekend.
Afternoon highs are expected to reach the low to mid 80s, making for noticeably cooler and more comfortable conditions compared with the warm, humid pattern earlier in the week.
For now, keep the umbrella and rain gear handy for those afternoon and evening storms.
