ORLANDO, Fla. — Drivers across Florida are paying more at the pump after another sharp overnight increase in gas prices.
The state average for a gallon of regular gasoline is now $4.19, up from $4.12 just one day ago.
The increase is even more noticeable compared with prices from a month ago.
At that time, drivers were paying about $3.86 per gallon, meaning Wednesday’s average is more than 30 cents higher.
And compared with this time last year, the difference is even greater.
A gallon of regular gas averaged about $3.12 a year ago. That puts Wednesday’s price more than $1 higher per gallon.
Diesel prices are also climbing, reaching another record high.
For drivers who fill up regularly, the latest increases could mean a noticeable hit to household and business budgets as prices continue to rise.
