Heat wave continues into the work week with highs in the upper 90s

CENTRAL FLA — It was a hot end to the weekend, and the heat wave will continue to start the upcoming work week.

The isolated showers will end this evening, with mostly clear skies again overnight. Morning lows will be in the upper 70s.

The heat marches on into Monday. Highs again will soar into the upper 90s, with feels-like temps above 105°. A few isolated showers will be possible, but most will be dry.

Some changes arrive midweek. More moisture works into the area, increasing rain and storm chances. Highs on Tuesday and Wednesday will be slightly cooler, with temps in the mid-90s.

The scattered storm threat continues into Thursday and Friday. The best chance of activity will be in the PM, with temps holding in the mid-90s.

Some slightly drier air may return next weekend, but scattered PM storms are still expected. Temps next weekend will be in the mid 90s.
