Here’s a peek at new eatery activity in Lake County

New Lake County restaurant and food truck activity has slowed a bit in 2022, when compared to the same period last year.

Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation (DBPR) data shows 26 new sit-down/to-go and food truck businesses were granted food licenses as of June 6, the most recent data available. That’s down 25% when compared to 35 for the same time frame in 2021.

New Lake County food licenses approved for the state DBPR’s fiscal year, which runs from July through June, show 67 new restaurants in Lake County, a 25% drop from 85 for the same time last year.
