Home health care equipment supplier AdaptHealth to buy Orlando’s AeroCare in $2 billion deal

Orlando home health care equipment and supply provider AeroCare Holdings has agreed to be acquired by a Pennsylvania-based competitor in a deal valued at $2 billion.

Under the terms of the deal, AdaptHealth Corp. (Nasdaq: AHCO) of Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, will make a $1.1 billion cash payment to AeroCare Holdings. AeroCare also will get 31 million shares of AdaptHealth common stock. The shares are valued at $972.8 million based on Monday’s closing price of $29.93.
