FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. — Two horses trapped in deep mud were successfully rescued Wednesday in a multi-county emergency operation involving Flagler County Fire Rescue.
First responders used specialized large animal rescue equipment and techniques to extricate the trapped horses at the Dexter-Mary Farms Wildlife Management Area.
Both animals were evaluated by crews on the scene following the successful rescue.
Flagler County Fire Rescue said it maintains advanced training and dedicated equipment designed specifically for complex rescue situations involving large animals.
