ORLANDO, Fla. — Dangerous conditions continue along local beaches as king tides and high surf increase concerns about coastal flooding and beach erosion.
The hazardous coastal conditions are expected to persist through the week, with only minor improvements anticipated by the end of the week.
More significant improvement is not expected until the middle of next week.
Winds will remain a factor on Wednesday, with gusts expected to reach 25 to 30 mph.
No wind advisory is currently in effect, but breezy conditions could add to the challenging conditions along the coast.
Showers are also expected to return to the forecast on Wednesday.
The showers will move quickly, traveling from the northeast to the southwest.
With high surf, elevated tides and strong wind gusts continuing, beachgoers should use caution and stay alert for changing coastal conditions.
Anyone heading to the beach should check local beach advisories and surf conditions before going into the water.
While some relief is expected later this week, dangerous coastal conditions could remain a concern into early next week.
