Lady Lake schedules Florida City Week to connect residents with local officials

LADY LAKE, Fla. — The Town of Lady Lake is inviting residents to learn more about their local government through a week of community activities.

Florida City Week runs Oct. 19-25, with events designed to connect residents with town leaders, employees and the services they provide.

Activities include a Meet the Mayor event with Mayor Ed Freeman at the Lady Lake Farmers and Crafts Market on Oct. 20 and a storytime with Mayor Pro Tem Treva Roberts on Oct. 21.

The town will also host a Touch-a-Truck event at 11 a.m. Oct. 21 at the Lady Lake Library. Families can get an up-close look at Public Works vehicles, a Lady Lake Police patrol vehicle and a police drone.

Residents can also meet town employees during a meet-and-greet at Town Hall from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 22.

The Lady Lake Library will feature a Florida City Week exhibit beginning Oct. 16 with information about the town, its history and local government.
