LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — The Lake County Animal Shelter is reducing adoption fees throughout October to help more animals find permanent homes.
Adoption fees will be 50% off from Oct. 1 through Oct. 31 as part of the shelter’s celebration of Adopt a Shelter Dog Month.
“There’s something special about giving a shelter pet a second chance and welcoming them into your family,” Lake County Animal Services Director Whitney Boylston said. “We’re proud to celebrate Adopt a Shelter Dog Month and help more deserving shelter dogs find the loving families they’ve been waiting for.”
Each adoption includes:
- Spay or neuter surgery
- Initial vaccinations
- A microchip
- A personalized identification tag
Potential adopters can visit the shelter throughout October to meet the available animals.
