CLERMONT, Fla. — A 36-year-old Clermont man died following a single-vehicle crash on Greater Hills Boulevard. The man was driving a Porsche Boxster when the car ran off the roadway and overturned.
Troopers say that the crash occurred north of Charter Oaks Trail when the vehicle struck a curb and two trees. The driver was wearing a seat belt when the vehicle landed on its roof, according to preliminary reports.
The driver was traveling northbound on Greater Hills Boulevard when the car left the roadway to the left. The Porsche struck a curb, continued northwest, hit two trees, and overturned onto its roof.
Emergency responders transported him to Orlando Health — South Lake Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Authorities have not yet determined the reason the vehicle ran off the road. The crash remains under investigation.
