LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — The Lake County Sheriff’s Office has announced that Yanixan Garcia, who was reported missing over the weekend, has been found safe.
Police seek help finding missing Mount Dora student Yanisan Garcia
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating 17-year-old Yanisan Garcia, known as “Johnny,” who was last seen leaving his home Saturday night.
Garcia left around 8:30 p.m. Aug. 15 in an unknown vehicle after telling family he planned to hang out with friends, deputies said. His family locator app last showed him around 1:18 a.m. Sunday near Ron Paul Drive and Lake Dorr in Altoona.
Garcia is described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 10 inches tall and about 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and black jean shorts. He is a senior at Mount Dora High School.
