ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Four Central Florida counties took part in a large scale emergency training exercise Thursday.
More than 80 agencies participated through Orange, Osceola, Lake and Seminole counties.
It involved 26 hospitals, 16 law enforcement agencies, 16 fire departments and four health departments.
Many of the techniques that were taught were used during the response to the Pulse nightclub shooting.
About 1,200 volunteers helped simulate a mass casualty situation.
The volunteers were covered in fake blood, had fake wounds and were each assigned different injuries.

The drill at Barnett Park also involved students still training to be EMTs.
The students said it is real-world experience that they can’t get in class.
“We are training for something that we might actually be a part of, so this is great training,” said Reina Nunez.
Officials said it was the largest emergency training exercise ever held in Florida.
