SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. — A major crash impacted traffic Wednesday morning on a stretch of Interstate-75 in Central Florida.

A semi truck rolled over early Wednesday in Sumter County, blocking all northbound lanes of I-75.

The crash happened around 5 a.m. near mile marker 335, near the Marion County line.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the tractor-trailer was transporting pallets when the driver fell asleep and lost control of the truck.

The overturned semi has caused a complete roadblock of the northbound lanes of I-75.

As of 9 a.m., FHP reported that those lanes remained blocked.

A Florida Department of Transportation camera continued to show northbound traffic at a standstill.

Troopers said the truck driver suffered minor injuries from the crash.
