A man accused of killing a woman with a wooden broom handle was booked into the Orange County Jail.
Orlando police said Michael McKenzie stabbed Patricia Spencer in the throat in Parramore last week.
Police said Spencer had pieces of the broom handle in her mouth when she was found.
Spencer was taken off life support on Friday.
McKenzie is charged with first-degree murder.
