ORANGE COUNTY, Fla.,None — A man convicted of trying to beat an Orange County deputy to death will be sentenced.
In February 2008 a SWAT team took Malik Stephenson into custody after a two hour standoff.
Stephenson was wanted for beating up Deputy Gayle Cadiz when she tried to stop him for shoplifting.
He was found guilty of attempted first-degree murder in August.
