WINTER GARDEN, Fla. — A 49-year-old Winter Garden man, Shariff Simmons, was fatally shot late Wednesday night outside a home on Bethune Avenue.
Officers arrived at the scene around 11:25 p.m. to find Simmons deceased after he and others were reportedly playing cards inside the residence.
According to the report, officers discovered Shariff Simmons lying on the ground outside the home.
The Winter Garden Police Department is actively investigating the homicide and seeking witnesses who may have information regarding the shooting.
