Man found dead near Orange County elementary school

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A homicide investigation is underway near an Orange County elementary school after a man was found dead Monday morning on the side of road.

Deputies said the T'Vauche J'Mel Green-McKnight, 25, was found dead at about 4:20 a.m. on Silverton Street, which borders Ivey Lane Elementary School.

Silverton Street was temporarily shut down while the homicide investigation continued.

Orange County Public Schools said due to the investigation, students were rerouted to Carver Middle School. As of 11:15 a.m., the district said students were being transported back to Ivey Lane after the crime scene had cleared.

Bailey Myers, public information officer for Orange County Sheriff's Office, said they have ruled the Green-McKnight's death a homicide due to trauma to his body.

No suspect information has been released.
