Man charged after fight leads to stabbing outside Taco Kat restaurant in Downtown Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. — An Orlando man is facing an attempted murder charge after police say he sent another man to the hospital with multiple stab wounds.

The incident started with a fight Sunday night, according to Orlando Police Department.

Just after 10 p.m., bystanders flagged down officers who were patrolling downtown to report a stabbing that had taken place outside the Taco Kat at 11 South Court Ave.

Responding officers arrived to find the victim, who was taken to a local hospital.

Police say they identified the suspect in the stabbing, 28-year-old William Janey, after he attempted to run away from the scene.

Investigators arrested Janey and booked him into the Orange County jail Monday on a charge of attempted second-degree murder.

He’s being held on no bond.
