ORANGE CITY, Fla. — Orange City police are investigating a shooting that left one man injured Monday afternoon at an apartment complex.
Officers responded around 3:44 p.m. to 1010 Skyline Loop at the Parc Hill Apartments after receiving reports of a shooting involving two adult men.
According to investigators, the men were talking when the conversation escalated. During the encounter, a firearm was produced, and shots were fired.
Police said the suspect fled the area in a vehicle before officers arrived.
The victim was injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities believe his injuries are not life-threatening.
Orange City Police Department detectives are continuing to investigate the shooting and are working to identify and locate the suspect.
