Man robs Orange Co. Bank of America, flees in pink getaway car

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A man robbed a Bank of America in broad daylight on Thursday, according to Orange County deputies.

Detectives said the robber told the people inside the bank on South Orange Blossom Trail that he was armed, but they never saw the gun.

There were about six people inside at the time of the robbery, who were then questioned by investigators.

Some of the bank employees were taken to the sheriff's office for formal statements.

Deputies said the robber came in and threatened to kill the people inside if they did not hand over money.

Investigators said they do not know how much the man got away with.

Residents said they were shocked the man picked such a busy spot.

"People are getting too bold, they are not caring," said bank customer Nicole Noon.

"It's just tragic that we have to deal with stuff like this around our community, because I have a son, I am here, I am always in this area," said bank customer Nicole Noon.

Investigators said the suspected robber was not wearing a mask, and there are cameras inside of the bank.

Deputies found the robber's pink getaway car a short time after the robbery.
