The family of a man and stepson who were killed in a home invasion hope surveillance video will help spark leads in the case.
Surveillance cameras outside the victims' house on Southeast 151st Place Road in Marion County showed two people walking into the home, where Andy Fockler, 38, and Bailey Zylo, 18, were staying.
Family member Natasha Johnson said she got to the home shortly after the shooting and watched as paramedics rushed inside.
“They weren’t in there two minutes. I said, ‘Why didn’t you do anything?’ They said there was nothing they could do,” said Johnson.
Johnson said the robbers were looking for money.
“All they asked for was, ‘Where is the money?’ Janie told them, ‘We don’t have any money,’” said Johnson.
Johnson said her sister, Jaine, Fockler’s wife and Zylo’s mother, was going to be shot as well, but Fockler sacrificed himself to save her.

“He pointed the gun at my sister and Andy got in the way,” said Johnson.
Zylo was asleep and woke up to the sound of gunfire before he was killed.
“They shot him twice in the chest and once in the head,” said Johnson.

Family members said they won’t be able to have closure until the gunmen are found.
“It’s very important that we catch these people, so they don’t do something like this to someone else’s family,” said Johnson.
Crimestoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
The family hopes the reward will encourage people to come forward.
