9 students arrested, 13 suspended after several fights at Ocala middle school

OCALA, Fla. — Nine Marion County students were arrested, and 13 suspended, after several fights at Fort King Middle School.

The Marion County school district said the fights broke out Wednesday.

There were a lot of threats made on social media, and they boiled over at school.

There were extra Ocala police officers on campus Thursday, and they’ll be present next week too.

The school’s principal sent a message home to families, encouraging parents to talk about the importance of making positive choices.
