MARION COUNTY, Fla. — One person was transported as a trauma alert following a two-vehicle crash involving a rollover Tuesday morning in Marion County, according to Marion County Fire Rescue.
The crash happened at the intersection of Southwest 66th Street and Southwest 140th Avenue.
Dispatchers received the call at 7:13 a.m. Crews from Meadowood Farms Station 12 arrived about nine minutes later and found one vehicle overturned on its roof and another off the roadway.
Firefighters performed a minor extrication to free a trapped patient at 7:25 a.m.
That person was then taken to a local trauma center as a trauma alert.
Additional crews from Ray Lloyd Jr. Station 31, Friendship Station 21 and Rainbow Springs Station 22 responded to assist.
Paramedics evaluated other people involved in the crash at the scene. Those patients declined transportation to a hospital.
