ORLANDO, Fla. — It’s been two years since the tragic shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland.
Fourteen students and three teachers were killed on Valentine’s Day in 2018.
On Friday, schools across the country paused to remember the victims.
Hundreds of Marjory Stoneman Douglas students now attend the University of Central Florida.

The students organized a vigil Friday night to remember the family and friends they lost.
Robert Schentrup, a student at UCF lost his 16-year-old sister, Carmen Schentrup, in the shooting.

“This semester I’m graduating and she won’t be there to see it,” Robert Schentrup said.
Every day is still hard for Robert Schentrup. “That’s something that has irrevocably changed the course of my life,” he said.
Robert Schentrup said his grief still catches him off-guard. He said his family now advocates for better gun safety measures.
