Men arrested after meth lab found in Lake County

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — Lake County deputies arrested two men after finding a meth lab inside an Astor home Friday evening.

Deputies say they secured a search warrant for the home on Fox Road after receiving information about a possible meth lab there.

Investigators say during the search, an active meth lab was located in a shed behind the home. Deputies also found more than 14 grams of meth oil.

Deputies subsequently arrested 50-year-old Paul Carpenter and 29-year-old Schilo Cantrell. They were both charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, among other charges.

Both men were booked in to the Lake County jail.
