DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — A famous motorcycle rider has bonded out of jail after being arrested Tuesday on charges of battery of a law enforcement officer, authorities said.
Daytona Beach Police said an officer saw Daniel Eslick, 29, push a woman near Main Street. Police said Eslick told the officer he was just “goofing around.”
Police said Eslick walked away as the officer tried to question him, and the officer grabbed Eslick.
According to a police report, that's when Eslick hit the officer twice and then ran.
The officer was not seriously injured.
According to ESPN, Eslick has won the Daytona 200 twice in the last two years.
