ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A motorcycle rider was killed Saturday night following a rear-end collision on State Road 50 west of St. Anne Avenue in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Investigators said a 2024 GMC Sierra hauling a trailer was traveling westbound in the outside lane of State Road 50. A motorcycle was traveling directly in front of the truck when the driver of the GMC Sierra failed to observe the vehicle ahead, colliding with its rear.
The rider of the motorcycle was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where they were pronounced deceased.
The driver of the GMC Sierra was not transported and remained at the scene following the collision.
The crash remains under investigation.
