SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — A former Mount Dora police officer was behind bars Wednesday on charges he stalked and attacked his ex-girlfriend, officials said.

Sevin Still resigned from the Mount Dora Police Department on March 2 and was arrested Tuesday on charges of battery and stalking.

His ex-girlfriend told investigators that on Feb. 28 she told Still she did not want to get back together with him but he allegedly wouldn’t take no for an answer.

The woman said the officer stalked her outside her home, her job and her child’s elementary school, police said.

Still was also accused of grabbing the woman by the throat and pushing her down on the couch in her Sanford home, investigators said.

The man allegedly threatened to put his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend “in matching coffins,” officials said.

Still was arrested and charged with assaulting an Orlando police officer in October but the charge was later dropped, court records show.

The three-year veteran of the Mount Dora Police Department was placed on administrative duties that month but was allowed back on patrol at the end of February.

Still was being held without bond at the Seminole County Jail on charges of aggravated stalking and battery.
