According to Lawrie, Jennetten returned home after work to find that a fire had destroyed his belongings. His dog also died in the fire.

The fundraiser says Jennetten is now living in his car while trying to determine what comes next.

“This has been an incredibly painful and overwhelming time, and Richard needs support as he faces the difficult road ahead,” Lawrie wrote. “He needs our NSB community more than ever.”

The campaign has a $4,000 goal.

Lawrie said donations will help Jennetten find temporary housing, purchase essential items and begin rebuilding his life.
