ORLANDO, Fla. — The Pro Bowl is being played Sunday night in front of a capacity crowd at Camping World Stadium.
The NFL announced Friday that the Pro Bowl would be played in front of a sold-out crowd.
More than 60,000 people are attending the all-star game, which kicked off at 8 p.m.
After three years, this year’s Pro Bowl will return to the traditional format, which pits conference against conference.
Eighty-eight players -- 44 from each conference -- were selected through votes cast by fans, players and coaches.
The game sold out Friday and parking at the stadium had sold out days before.
Police officers in squad cars were joined by officers on bikes and horses, and other unseen resources were put in place for the game, officials said.
The NFL has committed to holding next year's Pro Bowl in Orlando as well. The league has the option to also play the game in the city in 2019.
The game is the culmination of a week of associated events, many of which were played at Walt Disney World’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
