PALM BAY, Fla. — Two suspects accused of killing a 22-year-old man in Palm Bay made their first court appearances Thursday.
Christopher Hriciso, 18, and Caleb Davis, 17, are charged with first-degree murder and armed robbery with a firearm in connection with the August 26 shooting death of Isaac Cohen at Patrick Woodard Memorial Park.
Davis is being prosecuted as an adult.
During the hearing, a judge ordered both suspects held without bond. The court also prohibited them from having contact with each other, witnesses, or family members involved in the case.
According to Palm Bay police, investigators believe the shooting stemmed from an apparent drug transaction. Court records show Cohen had been exchanging text messages with one of the suspects shortly before the shooting.
Investigators also recovered a Snapchat video from one of the suspects, according to court documents. Police say the video allegedly shows two masked men, a handgun, and drug packaging that matched marijuana packages later found at Cohen’s home.
Police said multiple search warrants, forensic evidence, surveillance video, and interviews ultimately led detectives to identify and arrest Hriciso and Davis.
The investigation remains ongoing.
