Precautionary boil-water advisory issued after Groveland water main break

The advisory covers parts of northern Groveland shown on the city’s map

GROVELAND, Fla. — Groveland issued a precautionary boil-water advisory Tuesday morning following a large water main break near the Sunshine Water Treatment Plant.

The advisory applies to the area outlined in pink on the city’s map.

Crews are repairing the break and testing water pressure throughout the affected area. Residents along Cherry Lake Road, State Road 19, Wilson Lake Parkway and U.S. 27 were previously warned of possible low water pressure.

The advisory will remain in place pending the results of the pressure tests.
