OCPS schedules two job fairs for bus drivers and mechanics starting Sept. 28

District looking to fill transportation positions with paid training and benefits

Orange County Public Schools will soon build a $18.18 million facility near Baldwin Park.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orange County Public Schools is holding two job fairs to hire bus drivers and mechanics for its Transportation Services team.

The district is offering bus driver positions with pay ranging from $18.23 to $21.88 per hour, depending on experience. Mechanic positions start at $18.98 per hour and can reach $26.20 per hour.

OCPS said benefits include paid CDL training for bus driver candidates, health insurance, retirement plans through the Florida Retirement System, paid holidays, sick leave, and a uniform program.

The job fairs will be held at the Pine Hills Compound, 5140 N. Pine Hills Road in Orlando, on:

  • Sept. 28 from 9 a.m. to noon
  • Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. to noon
