ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash in Orange County on Thursday afternoon.
According to an incident report, a 2020 Ford Escape was traveling eastbound on County Road 535, approaching the intersection of Buena Vista Drive.
According to FHP, a 2011 Honda Accord was stopped facing east for a traffic signal on CR 535 at the intersection of Buena Vista Drive.
The Escape failed to stop, and as a result, the front right of the Escape struck the rear left side of the Accord.
The Escape continued traveling east before striking a light pole.
The driver of the Escape was transported to Dr. Phillips Hospital, where they were pronounced dead. The Driver of the Accord stayed on scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
