ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orange County Animal Services will host a groundbreaking ceremony for a new facility on Wednesday, April 1.
To mark the occasion, the shelter will waive adoption fees for all animals during a special four-hour window that afternoon.
The project is the result of several years of development and preparation by Orange County Animal Services staff. During the transition, the existing shelter structure is being torn down to accommodate the new facility.
The adoption event is scheduled for Wednesday between 2 and 6 p.m. Shelter officials mentioned they will waive fees for all animals, hoping to encourage adoptions and allow the savings to be used for the care of the new pets.
