Ex-Osceola County substitute teacher accused of inappropriately touching students sentenced

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — A former Osceola County substitute teacher accused of inappropriately touching students pleaded guilty to four felony charges on Wednesday.

In 2019, parents of children at Boggy Creek Elementary School accused Asher Syed Yaseen of touching young girls inappropriately in class.

On Wednesday, he pleaded guilty to four felony counts as part of a plea agreement.

He was sentenced to eight years for each guilty plea and is set to be deported to India once his time is served.

He’s already spent two years in jail, and those years will go toward his sentence.
